What We Do
-
Figuring out what’s coming in and what’s going out each month usually isn’t fun, but it’s an important step so that you can pay yourself first and save for your future. A simple snapshot of your regular expenses and income can provide clarity and peace of mind.
We can also give you an actionable plan to pay off debts and recommendations for the best credit cards for your personal situation.
-
What does retirement look like for you?
How much is it going to cost?
How much do you need to save now to fund those future expenses?
What do your investments need to look like to achieve that?
Can that portfolio survive market turmoil?
What would retiring early look like? Can you afford to retire early?
Should you use a Traditional IRA or a Roth IRA?
etc.
-
Professional in-house portfolio construction and management using well-diversified, low-cost strategies tailored to your personal circumstances, values, goals, and risk tolerance. Read more about our investing philosophy here.
-
Whether saving for your own higher education or your children’s, there are special accounts, tax advantages, and investment products for saving for education.
-
Analyzing your tax situation to proactively find opportunities to squeeze as much as you can out of your earnings using things like IRA’s, HSA’s, tax-efficient asset placement, tax loss harvesting, and tax gain harvesting. We want to avoid giving money to Uncle Sam unnecessarily.
We also have a network of qualified tax preparation professionals to whom we can refer you and with whom we can coordinate.
-
Is that salary offer fair?
Do you deserve a raise?
Did your previous raise match inflation?
Benefits analysis - what is the value of your total compensation?
Does relocating make sense?
Should you participate in that ESPP?
etc.

The most popular and most comprehensive setup is the combination of the first 2 items above - ongoing planning and investment management.
Here’s a hypothetical example to illustrate how the pricing structure for those service offerings would work.
A married couple with relatively uncomplicated financial circumstances and a $60k investment portfolio would pay $179 + $60,000*(0.01)/12 = $179 + $50 = $229/mo.
See examples of estimates of different planning complexity fees here. See investment management fee schedule here.
Planning fees are billed monthly in arrears and are automatically charged to your credit card or bank account.
Investment management fees are billed quarterly in arrears using the average daily value over that period and are deducted directly from investment accounts automatically.
